The Ballad of Mick the Miller

What would happen if folly decided to gather at a barren crossroads the Devil, Mick the Miller, Hitchcock, and Howling Wolf...?

WHAT IT'S ABOUT

The body of Albert de Courville, a genuine and meticulous film director from the 1930s, appears on a remote beach, days after the reel of his latest film, "Wild Boy," based on the life of Mick the Miller, the most famous racing greyhound in history, was stolen en route to the lab. At that time, a budding Alfred Hitchcock was also filming at Gainsborough Studios, who, blinded by greed, haggles with Mephistopheles, embodied by Father Brophy, owner and mentor of Mick, in order to achieve Celebrity.

The Ballad of Mick the Miller is, essentially, a sacred curse that unmask the sinister illogic of the Success we so venerate and, for which, to a greater or lesser extent, we are willing to prostitute ourselves when no one is looking.

As Shakespeare said in that blues...

The lost tape will embark on a journey that will sail through various of the most iconic scenes of the Hitchcockian galaxy, to reveal to the viewer the guts of the crime, and to elucidate that there is no paradise without sin, nor hell without virtue. That we also owe ourselves to our catacombs... That Light needs Darkness...

El Galgo Afónico insists, and continues to devour stereotypes, with a stage surprise that digs into and claims the hell that inspires us.

A cryptic proposal that pays tribute to delta blues, an unrepeatable milestone of the greyhound tracks, and the syncretic talent of a genius of the seventh art who offers his soul to the Evil One to immortalize his filmography.

WHAT IT'S LIKE

In this theatricalized mockumentary, this delirious hodgepodge of out-of-sync real characters, four musicians (Father Brophy and three diabolical bluesmen) perform, from the "Hades" of the stage, an unusual concert that explores the enigmatic repertoire of the master of Blues, Howling Wolf.

An irreverent twist, an ode to the McGuffin (the suspenseful narrative excuse bequeathed to us by "Hitch"), in which, to unravel the plot, vignettes inspired by his extraordinary storyboards are projected, enlivened with desecrated audio from his renowned series "Alfred Hitchcock presents", but visually poisoned by the cursed biography of a universal Greyhound.
